Just Plain Wrong

Killing in the name of God , in my my opinion , is just plain wrong. So making death threats in the name of God is just as wrong.

On criticism of the books from Christians in Britain and the United
States:
"I had one letter from a vicar in England -- this is the difference
-- saying would I please not put Christmas trees at Hogwarts as it was clearly a
pagan society. Meanwhile, I'm having death threats when I'm on tour in
America."

I have always looked at is as "If Gods wants them dead, he is more then capable of getting it done". There are many things that can be used for his glory that don't make a lot of sense to us, after all his son was crucified on a cross.

Plus it makes Christians look bad and drives people away from what is suppose to be a loving religion.

Humans Come from one Family

A recent study points toward common ancestors and not hybrids, meaning macro evolution just got harder to prove.

The genetic evidence has always strongly supported the single origin theory, and
now results from a study of more than 6,000 skulls held around the world in
academic collections supports this case.

Why do I say that, what logic pushes me in that direction? This means a male and a female, that could interbreed, needed to evolve at the same time (with in a couple of years) and be in close proximity in order to meet. They get busy and establishe their own tribe which out competes all of the other existing tribes in order to become dominate and survive. I say dominate because other other species like neandthal are exsinct (except in insurance commercials).

The odds of this happening just went up.

Easy Access Drug does not an Addict make

It does matter where the drugs come from, but it still all boils down to those who use them and those who don't. I can only speak for myself but easy sccess drugs did not turn me to a path of addiction. I was completely aware of the situation I was in being close to a large and deverse supply of pills.

Prescription drug abuse is particularly common among upper middle class students, according to Lisa Jack, a clinical psychologist at Augsburg College in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
"It just goes to show that where you're from doesn't matter," Jack said. And young people don't have to go far to get these drugs. "Prescription drugs are very easy for kids to get," Califano said. "They can get them from the Internet. They can get them from their parents' medicine cabinets. They can get them from their friends."

To read this, the problems is the abundance of drugs not the fact that people feel the need to take them.

Part of the solution would be for drug makers to formulate their products
so they're harder to abuse, said Califano, adding that anti-drug campaigns also
should focus more on prescription drug abuse.

Because it the responsiblity of others not the abusers to stop drug abuse. I do agree with the part about the parents;

Parents need to do their part as well, he said. "When I was a kid in
Brooklyn, when parents had liquor, they locked up the liquor cabinet," he said.
"Maybe parents need to lock up the medicine cabinet."
